Second Alarm on N. 20th Street

At 4:39 on Monday, June 11, Columbus fire crews responded to a call on N. 20th Street and upon arrival, found two wood-frame duplex structures heavily involved in fire.  A second alarm was immediately declared due to exposure concerns for an additional occupied duplex.  Approximately 10 minutes into this incident, a second working fire was declared only a block away, on Miami Ave.  Crews from staging from the 2nd alarm were quick to respond and handle the second fire.  Box 15 with a crew of 2 arrived on scene within 45 minutes.  We provided 3 cases of chilled water and distributed 4 dozen donuts, provided by Bn Ch. Gaal.
