Box 15 at OAPFF

Box 15 was represented at the biennial Ohio Assn of Professional Firefighters Conference, held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Columbus.  The 3-day conference brought together representatives from various IAFF Locals throughout the state.  Box 15 was invited to staff a vendor table and to sell our Columbus Fire shirts as well as present literature regarding our organization and rehab services.  We partnered with the Central Ohio Fire Museum and Learning Center and also displayed their 1894 Seagraves Hose Cart.

Winner of the Box 15 Charity Football

Box 15 and Thompson Building have announced the raffle winner of the autographed football. Melissa Hodgden. Thompson Building will contact Ms. Hodgden this week.  The final amount raised to help support Box15 and the job we do was $651.  Box 15 would like to thank all those who purchased tickets.  Your support will go to helping fund Box 15 and to help Central Ohio firefighters.   Box 15 would like to thank Thompson Building for its generous support for Box 15.

Box 15 receives a large donation of bottled water

When a truckload of bottled water was refused by the intended recipient, the supplier advised the carrier to donate the shipment. The carrier, US Express contacted the Columbus Division of Fire, who referred them to Box 15. Arrangements were made to offload the semi trailer (1586 cases, or 38000+ bottles of water) at Thompson Building Associates. Thompson has partnered with Box 15 to provide bottled water for rehab purposes, since 2003. As Box 15 would not be able to use that quantity directly, we are sharing the wealth. All water, beyond our direct needs, is being distributed to Central Ohio public safety forces, including Fire Departments, SWAT teams, Haz-Mat & Bomb response units.
